Why
choose Hartman Productions?
We're often asked "how do you
compare to other videographers". Unfortunately, we can't answer that
question because we don't thoroughly investigate the competition - you will
have to do that for yourself. However we do hear from time-to-time from our
customers about other videographers and therefore we have listed a few key
points on some things we offer that others don't:
-We attend every
wedding rehearsal. This is included with every video package at no extra
cost. It is impossible to fully plan and adequately cover a live event like
a wedding without the necessary preparation. The only way to do that is to
be at the rehearsal.
-We use two manned video cameras with every package.
A videographer is operating each camera. When the couple moves, the camera
adjusts to follow them. This can't be done if the camera is stationary.
-We have no time limits on any of our wedding packages.
We stay as long as necessary to completely cover your wedding and capture
all the footage necessary to tell the story of your special day.
-There are no extra fees or
hidden charges - all wedding video packages include: editing, titles, and
music. Your wedding video is delivered on DVD with full menu and scene
selections including (at no extra charge) a custom printed DVD label and
case cover.
These topics are
listed in more detail in the information that follows.
When choosing a videographer to record
your special day there are several key pieces of information you need to
know. First and most important is experience - how long have they been
professionally videotaping weddings? Anybody can go out and buy
equipment and open a business. And while everyone has to start somewhere, do
you want someone learning (and making mistakes) with your wedding video?
Ask yourself if they have the experience necessary to preserve your once-in-a-lifetime event.
Hartman Productions has over 25 years of
wedding experience. We have been doing this a long time and have perfected
our technique to offer you a professionally crafted video presentation that
will be cherished for generations.
Secondly, you need to see samples of
their work. Notice I said "samples"- plural, not just one sample but several
samples. Anybody can get it right once in a while so you should ask to see
video from several weddings to see if they get it right consistently. This
is important even if they have many years of experience. There are different
levels of quality and professionalism. Just because someone has a lot of
experience doesn't necessarily mean they are capable of producing at the
level you require.
Beyond experience and quality it comes
down to what's important to you. Every videographer has a style - we
describe our style as "unobtrusive candid elegance". We film and edit for a
sophisticated look and try to stay in the background as much as possible
making every attempt to blend-in. We stay out of the way and record the day
as it unfolds. We are not "in your face" with the cameras.
